We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. To operate VeraAge, certain data is processed by trusted service providers acting on our behalf: Supabase (account and data hosting), Google (sign-in, if you choose that option), Anthropic's Claude API (analyzing meal photos you scan, not retained beyond each request), and RevenueCat/Apple (processing your subscription — VeraAge never sees your full payment details). These providers may only use your data to provide their service to us.
We collect the information you provide when creating an account and using the app. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google to create your account. We also collect your age, height, weight, biological sex, health goal, and activity level. We also collect your daily habit logs, which include sleep hours, food quality, exercise activity, stress level, and water intake.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, VeraAge reads a limited set of health and fitness data with your permission: sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, steps, active energy, workouts, VO2max, water intake, and mindful minutes. Access is strictly read-only. We never write to Apple Health. Connecting is optional, and the app is fully usable without it.
This data is used only to power features you see in the app: your daily Vitality score, your Bio-Age trend, and automatic verification of your challenges. We prefer to compute these on your device and store only the resulting numbers. HealthKit data is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.
We use your information to calculate and track your biological age estimate, personalise your daily coaching messages, and improve the VeraAge app experience. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security enabled. Only you can access your own data. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
When you scan a meal, the photo (or a typed food description) along with your calorie and protein targets is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to estimate its nutritional content. Claude is not used to generate coaching messages or process your other daily logs. No data is stored by the AI provider beyond the scope of each individual request. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API requests.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile → Settings screen. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, all daily logs, and your authentication credentials from our systems.
